Fall at Aravilla
We may live in Florida, where the only leaves that change are the ones on our calendars, but that’s not stopping us from getting our fall on. Decorations are out, and they’re a vibrant mess of orange, red, brown, and yellow. Our team of decorating wizards – Bob, Betty, and Cynthia – are making magic happen. We have made our own centerpieces, wreaths, and bought cute scarecrows. Who knew our residents had such hidden talent? Those gorgeous sunflowers from art class are pure gold, with yellow and orange shades that will pull all of our decorative look together. However, our fall photo shoot setup is going to be the icing on the cake – or should we say, the pumpkin in the patch? Stay tuned.

Baking the Goodies!
On Wednesdays, Aravilla residents become baking rockstars. Our residents pitch in measuring and mixing ingredients, to put together our delicious goodies. Christine’s cupcake batter skills were pure genius. She has the perfect flick of the wrist for missing up a great batter. Our oatmeal raisin cookies were also irresistible. Forget the gathering and the social calendar, just bake and watch as they come drooling for our sweet treats. We invite you to join us on Wednesdays afternoons for our baking gathering.
Halloween Bash
October is finally here! Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and it is just a few weeks away. Every year we have a huge costume party and this year will not be any different. Diana has a plethora of costumes that come out of the closet every year. Surely there will be one for each and every one of our residents. Last year we had the Wizard of Oz crew at our party. Bob was the tinman, Dorthy was Dorthy, Betty was the lion, and Carol the Scarecrow. They were a great bunch. We also had a special appearance from Uncle Fester from the Adams family. Jumping Joey, our entertainer, as Uncle Fester. Lets hope we see them again this year. See you at the party!
